So many things need to be kept in check, so many symptoms, so many fears.
Last night I read through so posts of groups I am in and the fear and sadness was deep.
My Addy group family has lost two more sisters. One was 17 a couple weeks ago (I think) and the other was 20, she passed in her sleep!
These girls were so young, just babies, and this illness that so few take seriously has just taken them from from their friends and family! Without warning, without goodbyes.
We fight everyday! We fight for our lives! We are Warriors! Yet we are judged, judged because we don't work, judged because we sleep a lot, judged for our ongoing health dilemmas, judged as emotional or dramatic.
Yet I wonder, if it was you fighting for your life, wouldn't you want not to be judged? Wouldn't you want love and support? Wouldn't you want to know that you aren't alone?
But it it is not you, it is us! Us warriors who fight to stay alive, fight to be heard. It is us who prays the crisis wakes us up from sleep before it is to late, us who measures every action and emotion so we can medicate accordingly.
It is our tight rope to walk.
Sending Prayers and Strength to the most recent two victims, all of those who went before, and all still yet to be taken of This cruel illness. 💙
